Title: Gov. Otti Promises 30 Days of Project Commissioning Date Published: 26 May 2025 Description: ...As Abia Marks Two Years of Transformation Abians should brace up for a wave of infrastructural commissioning across the state within the next 30 days, Governor Alex Otti announced on Sunday during a solemn interdenominational thanksgiving service marking his second year in office.Speaking at the event held at Ibeku High School in Umuahia, Governor Otti highlighted an array of completed and near-complete projects set for unveiling. These include over 100 Primary Healthcare Centres, Smart Schools, retrofitted educational facilities, and key road infrastructures aimed at enhancing the state\'s urban outlook and service delivery.“After the 2nd Anniversary, within 30 days, we are going to be commissioning projects,” the Governor declared to a cheering audience. “At least half of the 200 Primary Healthcare Centres across our 184 wards are ready. Two of our 20 Smart Schools are ready, while the rest are receiving serious attention. An additional 221 schools are undergoing rebuilding and retrofitting.”Governor Otti stressed his administration’s focus on urban renewal, saying: “Umuahia will continue to wear a new look. Gone are the days when they used to tell us that our State Capital looks like a glorified village. It will never be again in Jesus name.”The Governor said the thanksgiving was a moment to reflect on God’s faithfulness to Abia State. “It’s easy to say we worked for this mandate, but it’s important to recognize that it is God that gives the increase. We are here to return all glory to Him,” he said. The event was marked by moving testimonials, powerful sermons, and praise sessions led by renowned gospel artist Buchi. In his sermon, Rev. Sam Oye, Lead Pastor of The Transforming Church, recounted a prophetic revelation from 2022 about the economic renaissance Abia would experience under Governor Otti’s leadership.“God told me a new day was coming for Abia State, and now we are seeing it,” Rev. Oye said. “Abia will become the leather and garments capital of Africa, a thriving SME hub, a leading agricultural state, and the largest tech innovation center on the continent.”Reinforcing the message of hope and continuity, Pastor Amara Uwaeziozi of Master\'s Vessel Church WorldWide urged Abians to protect the gains made under Governor Otti’s administration.“We will not allow this good governance to be changed. If it continues like this, in eight years, we will all rejoice,” he said, highlighting visible progress in road infrastructure, public sector morale, and improved traffic management. The thanksgiving service, which drew high-ranking officials, clergy, and residents, also featured prayers for the Governor and his administration, celebrating what many now call the “New Abia.”— Ijere Johnmartins, [Gist Reports]  Attached Images: 7795038cca0a9afbb73e5bc2e6328a9476c060039802be544ea2141645c033c6.jpg, 7bf561679a45270c7d6f5b84b4444c0ac8a9e6e6ba6c45e4050288bf550f0fb5.jpg Attached Video: None
