Title: Rivers State University Appoints New Acting Registrar Date Published: 15 December 2025 Description: Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has appointed Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as its new Acting Registrar.The appointment, which takes effect from December 15, 2025, was announced in a press release issued by the university’s Directorate of Corporate Affairs.Until her appointment, Dr. Daminabo served as Director, Establishment Division, and was the most senior Director in the administrative cadre of the university. She takes over from Dr. I. B. S. Harry, who has completed her tenure as Registrar of the institution.Dr. Daminabo holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Sociology, as well as a Doctorate Degree in Human Resource Management. She joined the services of the university in 1994 as an Administrative Officer I, following a transfer of service from the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, where she began her career as an Administrative Officer II in 1988. She rose through the ranks and was appointed a Director in 2017.A seasoned administrator, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration, Fellow of the Institute of Policy Management and Leadership Development (FIPLD), a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM), and a Member of the Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA).The university expressed confidence that her wealth of experience will further strengthen administrative efficiency at Rivers State University.
