Fubara Inspects Completed Agba-Ndele Bridge, Awaits Road Completion Date Published: 13 March 2026 Description: Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Friday inspected the completed Agba-Ndele Bridge linking Abua and Emohua Local Government Areas, expressing satisfaction with the progress of the project.Speaking during the inspection, the governor recalled visiting the site last year to monitor construction and said he was pleased to see the bridge fully completed.“I am really happy that today you can see for yourself that the bridge is fully completed,” he said.Fubara, however, noted that the project’s full impact would be realized only after the completion of the remaining 14-kilometre stretch of the Ndele-Omofor-Agba-Ndele road.“The beauty of this project will be better appreciated when the other 14 kilometres are completed. But so far, I want to commend the contractor, Setraco, for a good job,” he stated.The governor, who was accompanied by the new Commissioner for Works, Prof. Temple Nwofor, praised the contractor for its commitment and professionalism in delivering the project.The contractor, Setraco Nigeria Limited, assured that work on the remaining section of the road would be completed before the end of May.Fubara said the official inauguration of the bridge would be delayed until the entire road project is completed.He added that the project reflects his administration’s determination to improve on existing infrastructure and expand development across the state.
