He also appealed to residents to remain calm and cooperate with authorities.The police spokesperson in the state, Joshua Ukandu, also confirmed the development, noting that efforts were ongoing to track down those responsible.The latest killing brings to five the number of traditional rulers murdered in Ebonyi in recent times, raising fresh concerns over security in the state.Only last month, a monarch in Ndufu-Alike community in Ikwo Local Government Area was abducted and later killed, with his body reportedly set ablaze by his captors. Although about nine suspects were arrested in connection with that incident, there has been no update on the case.Residents have expressed growing anxiety over the spate of attacks on traditional rulers, calling for urgent and decisive action to curb the violence.
