A serious road accident occurred on Tuesday along Iwofe Road near the NDDC Bus Stop in Port Harcourt, involving a sand-laden truck and two mini buses.

The crash left both buses severely damaged, though, fortunately, no fatalities were recorded. Eyewitnesses say the accident was allegedly caused by a police checkpoint frequently mounted at the location, which they claim forced a sudden stop and led to the collision.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, but the incident has once again raised concerns over the safety and positioning of police roadblocks in high-traffic areas.
