Two Israeli embassy staff members, dedicated to fostering Israel-Palestinian dialogue and soon to be engaged, were fatally shot by a pro-palestinian terrorist  in Washington, D.C. on May 21. The  suspect, who chanted pro-Palestine slogans, is in custody, according to officials. The two victims were shot and killed as they departed an event at the Capital Jewish Museum, approximately 1.3 miles from the White House.
