Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have successfully repelled a major Boko Haram/ISWAP infiltration attempt on the Naval Base Lake Chad in Fish Dam, neutralizing scores of terrorists in a fierce firefight. The coordinated land, maritime, and air operation took place in the early hours of Tuesday, as terrorists launched a 2 AM assault aimed at destroying newly acquired Swamp Boggeys provided by the Borno State Government.

Naval personnel stationed at the base, with reinforcements from Baga, fought back in a two-hour battle that ended with the terrorists retreating. Though minimal incursion was made—resulting in the destruction of an ambulance and two vehicles—security forces maintained control of the base. Several IED materials were recovered, and the Nigerian Air Force is currently pursuing fleeing insurgents via aerial operations across the waterways.
