“We are rich in gas, and by the end of this year, power outages will be history. Once we are through with the power issue, we will ensure water reaches Yenagoa, Nembe, and other LGAs,” he stated.

The governor also responded to community calls for the Igbeta-Ewoama-Okoroba road, pledging to seek federal partnerships through agencies like the NDDC and South-South Development Commission, noting that time constraints made such collaboration essential.

Diri, who thanked the people of Nembe Kingdom for their support in his 2023 re-election, received glowing tributes from dignitaries including Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John-Jonah (rtd), Attorney-General Biriyai Dambo (SAN), and traditional ruler King Edmund Daukoru (Mingi XIII).

The Amanyanabo of Nembe praised the governor for delivering on promises and breaking the stereotype of politicians only returning during election campaigns. He blessed Diri and presented him with symbolic gifts including a walking stick, books, and a traditional hat.

Governor Diri was accompanied by his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, federal and state lawmakers, and top government officials, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to peace and development in Nembe and across Bayelsa State.
