The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has called on personnel of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) to take advantage of its flexible, tech-driven academic programmes. During a courtesy visit to the NCoS headquarters in Abuja, the NOUN team, led by Prof. Olugbenga Ojo, advocated for increased staff enrollment and strengthened collaboration between both institutions.

The Controller General of Corrections, Sylvester Nwakuche, MFR, mni, lauded NOUN’s contributions to staff and inmate education. The visit featured staff sensitization, presentations on self-development, and instant admissions for interested personnel—underscoring NOUN’s commitment to accessible education and NCoS’ push for career advancement through learning.
