Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television on Friday, July 4, Wike claimed that ₦4 billion was released monthly for the program during Amaechi’s tenure as Minister of Transportation.

“Every month, ₦4 billion was released through his wife’s account for the training of Niger Delta women. In one year, that’s ₦48 billion,” Wike stated during the interview, raising questions about accountability and the actual impact of the program.

The former Rivers State governor did not provide documentary evidence during the interview, but the claim is likely to spark political and public interest regarding transparency in the handling of intervention funds.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Rotimi Amaechi nor his wife has publicly responded to the allegation.
