President Tinubu Returns to Abuja After Official Visits to Saint Lucia and Brazil

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu returned to the country on Saturday night following official engagements in Saint Lucia and Brazil, where he participated in high-level bilateral and multilateral meetings aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s global partnerships.

The Presidential jet touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, where the President was warmly received by top government officials.

Leading the welcoming team were Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu; National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Minister of Defence, Muhammed Bello Matawalle; Senator Aliyu Wamakko, and Alhaji Ibrahim Masari.

The trip to Saint Lucia marked the President’s participation in the celebration of that country’s independence anniversary, while his stop in Brazil featured discussions with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and other regional leaders on trade, energy, and climate cooperation.

The news of President Tinubu’s return was confirmed by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, who described the trip as “strategic and timely for Nigeria’s economic and diplomatic interests.”
