President Bola Tinubu will visit Kano State on Friday, July 18, 2025, to console the family of late elder statesman and renowned business magnate, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. He will also extend condolences to the government and people of Kano over the passing of the revered philanthropist.

Aminu Alhassan Dantata (19 May 1931 – 28 June 2025) was a prominent Nigerian businessman and philanthropist. He was one of the founding promoters of the Kano State Foundation—an endowment fund that supported education and provided grants to small-scale entrepreneurs across the state. He also headed a group of companies managing his vast real estate and other business interests.

Dantata served as Kano State Commissioner for Planning and Development from 1967 to 1972. He died at the age of 94 on June 28, 2025, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
