Muhammed Babangida has officially accepted his appointment as Chairman of the Bank of Agriculture (BOA), expressing heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him.

In a statement released Monday, Babangida debunked circulating online reports claiming he had declined the appointment, describing them as false, malicious, and aimed at misleading the public and discrediting the Tinubu administration.

“We wish to clarify that Muhammed gratefully accepts the appointment… and extends his sincere appreciation to President Tinubu,” the statement read.

It further assured that individuals behind the fake news would be investigated and held accountable, reaffirming a commitment to transparency, accountability, and national unity.

The statement also urged Nigerians to verify information from credible sources and avoid falling for misinformation.
