Troops of Operation FOREST SANITY III have successfully neutralized several terrorists and destroyed 18 motorcycles during a fighting patrol launched from Maru LGA, Zamfara State, through Kebbi and Niger States on July 22, 2025. Acting on credible intelligence, the soldiers engaged the terrorists in a fierce firefight, also recovering AK-47 rifles with loaded magazines.

A follow-up operation on July 23 led to additional recoveries of weapons and logistics. Sadly, one gallant soldier paid the supreme price during the encounter. The Nigerian Army confirmed that troops remain on high alert amid reports of terrorist regrouping in the region.
