The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as its new National Chairman, following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down on health grounds.

Yilwatda\'s emergence was confirmed during the APC\'s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Thursday, July 25, at the Aso Villa in Abuja. His appointment marks a new phase in the leadership of Nigeria’s ruling party as it seeks to reposition itself ahead of upcoming political challenges.

Born on August 8, 1968, in Dungung, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, Prof. Yilwatda is the son of the late Reverend and Mrs. Toma Yilwatda. He is a seasoned academic and technocrat with a background in engineering and public administration.

His appointment is seen as a strategic move by the APC to consolidate support in the North-Central region and bring technocratic competence into party leadership.
