Labour Party’s Peter Obi has criticized President Bola Tinubu for what he calls the spread of false economic data, accusing the government of masking worsening poverty and hunger with misleading statistics.

Obi recalled that during the 2022 campaigns, Tinubu mocked his use of statistics, claiming his focus was on feeding Nigerians. \"Two years later, Nigeria ranks among the hungriest nations,\" Obi noted.

He accused the Tinubu administration of manipulating figures on unemployment, inflation, and GDP to cover up declining living conditions. Obi reaffirmed that true governance requires integrity, competence, and compassion—not propaganda.
