Lagos socialite Olaseni Johnson Olayinka, popularly known as Abu Abel, has been arrested by the Force CID, Alagbon, over an alleged ₦447 million land scam involving Doyin Investment Group.

Abel, who had been on the run for weeks, was tracked to a hideout in Victoria Island. He is accused of fraudulently selling encumbered land and failing to refund the full amount after admitting to the deception.

He had refunded ₦230 million but defaulted on the ₦217 million balance despite a signed undertaking. The police also linked him to alleged cult activities and land grabbing.

He is expected to face multiple fraud-related charges, while the complainant seeks full recovery of the funds and prosecution.
