Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has made a special intervention of ₦1 billion to assist victims of recent flooding in Mokwa, Niger State.

The donation, made on behalf of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), was presented during her condolence visit to the state capital, Minna. She also handed over relief items and a symbolic cheque to Governor Umaru Bago, stressing the importance of supporting affected families on their path to recovery.

In addition to the flood intervention, the First Lady also flagged off the RHI Women Empowerment Programme in partnership with the Tony Elumelu Foundation. The initiative is aimed at supporting small and medium-scale businesses owned by women in Niger State.

Mrs. Tinubu reaffirmed her commitment to uplifting vulnerable groups and ensuring that no state is left behind in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
