17-year-old Nafisa Abdullahi Aminu emerged as the overall best in English language skills at the 2025 TeenEagle Global competition held in London, United Kingdom, representing Nigeria on the international stage, Nafisa clinched the top spot among participants from several countries, earning global recognition and praise for her outstanding command of the English language.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in a statement released by the State House on Wednesday, extended warm congratulations to Nafisa and her teammates — Rukayya Muhammad Fema (15), who won best in debate, and Hadiza Kashim Kalli, who took home the Outstanding Talent Gold Medal.
In his message, President Tinubu described their achievements as a beacon of hope and a reflection of the nation’s rich intellectual potential. \"The nation\'s future is much brighter with many of its youth as repositories of excellence,\" the President said.
He further acknowledged the efforts of the educational institutions that nurtured the trio, stating that their success is a testament to the quality and promise of Nigeria’s education system.
President Tinubu also emphasized his administration’s commitment to educational development, highlighting recent investments and initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) designed to remove financial barriers for less privileged students.
He urged Nafisa and her fellow champions to remain focused on their academic journey and wished them continued success in their future endeavors.
