Abia Police Commissioner Distributes Refurbished Patrol Vehicles to Boost Crime-Fighting Capacity

In a renewed push to enhance operational efficiency, crime prevention, and swift response to security threats across Abia State, the Commissioner of Police, CP Danladi Isa, on Tuesday, August 6, 2025, officially handed over six refurbished patrol vehicles to key units and formations under the Abia State Police Command.

The move, according to the Commissioner, aligns with the command’s commitment to promoting proficiency, efficiency, and prompt response to the security needs of Abians.

The units that received the vehicles include:

The State Traffic Office, Umuahia

Scorpion Squad, Aba

Mbala Divisional Headquarters

Nkporo Divisional Headquarters

Umuoba Divisional Headquarters

The newly established Abia State Police Band

 

Speaking during the handover ceremony, CP Danladi expressed his profound appreciation to the Abia State Government for its continuous support, noting that the vehicle refurbishments were made possible through the state’s intervention.

He charged the beneficiaries to put the vehicles to proper use and ensure they serve their intended purpose of strengthening mobility, visibility policing, and prompt response to crime scenes and emergencies across the state.

\"This initiative is aimed at ensuring that officers are fully equipped to tackle criminal activities head-on and restore confidence among the citizens,\" the Police Commissioner said.

CP Danladi further reiterated the command’s resolve to deepen its collaboration with the state government and other stakeholders in delivering robust security for all residents.

The refurbished vehicles are expected to immediately be deployed for active duty across their assigned jurisdictions.
