President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to President John Mahama and the people of Ghana following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight persons, including Ghana\'s Defence Minister Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, President Tinubu described the incident as a profound national loss for Ghana, expressing Nigeria’s solidarity in grief.
“The thoughts and prayers of the government and people of Nigeria are with the government and people of Ghana during this difficult time,” the President said.
He urged Ghanaians and the families of the deceased to take solace in the fact that the victims died in the line of patriotic service to their country.
President Tinubu also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and strength for their families and the entire nation of Ghana as they mourn.
The Ghanaian government is yet to release full details of the crash, but tributes have continued to pour in from across the region in honour of the late ministers and other victims.
