In a heartfelt Instagram post on Saturday, the nightlife entrepreneur revealed that long-standing U.S. visa challenges kept him from attending his best friend’s big day. According to him, the issue stems from errors made during his first visa application years ago, which have continued to appear in the U.S. immigration system, leading to repeated denials.

“I woke up this morning with mixed feelings,” he wrote, sharing a throwback video from Davido’s traditional wedding in Lagos in 2024. “I’m happy, and I’m still sad at the same time. Sometimes, God has a way of making you understand that you are powerless regardless of all you may think you have.”

Despite heavy criticism from fans and social media users over his absence, Chief Priest said he was encouraged to reapply for the visa. Directly addressing the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, he pleaded:

“#usinnigeria do it for me this time. You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding. You need to give me access to get my fat ass into America. Delay is never denial — CP is still hopeful.”

While he couldn’t make it in person, Chief Priest revealed that his wife and family represented him at the Miami event:

“The largest part of me — my family, my beautiful, elegant, expensive, eloquent and sophisticated wife #_deangels — is there to share in this luxury blissful experience. So I’m there in body and spirit.”

He ended his message with a warm wish for the newlyweds:

“I’m wishing my best friend #davido and his beautiful wife #thechefchi an amazing wedlock.”

The celebrity businessman says he will submit a fresh visa application next week, still holding onto the dream of one day stepping foot in the “greatest country in the world.”

Earlier this year, during an appearance on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds, Cubana Chief Priest revealed that the persistent visa hurdle has been his biggest travel frustration. “If I had a visa to enter Yankee today, it would be a dream come true,” he said. “David tells me about America and the lifestyle. It is something I want to experience. I hope very soon I am going to get access to get into Yankee.”
