The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has summoned Comfort Emmanson, Juliana Edward, and members of Ibom Air’s cabin crew for further questioning over the controversial incident that occurred onboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos on August 10.

The summons comes after a mid-air altercation involving Emmanson and some crew members, which has since stirred public debate.

Speaking at the ongoing Emergency National Civil Aviation Security Committee and Stakeholders’ Meeting in Abuja, the NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Michael Achimugu, confirmed that the regulatory body had already engaged Emmanson in discussions earlier on Tuesday.

“I have spoken with Ms. Emmanson this morning. We are also inviting the Ibom Air cabin crew for continued investigation on the incident. They will be here tomorrow,” Achimugu stated.

The NCAA emphasized that the investigation aims to establish the facts of the matter and ensure that standard aviation safety and passenger conduct protocols are upheld.
