Tinubu Commiserates with Families, FIRS, UBA, United Capital Over Afriland Towers Fire

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to the families of victims and several corporate institutions affected by Tuesday’s fire outbreak at Afriland Towers on Broad Street, Lagos Island.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President specifically commiserated with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, United Capital, and Afriland Properties Limited over the tragic incident that claimed lives and left others injured.

President Tinubu expressed sympathy to those who lost loved ones in the inferno, as well as to the injured who are currently receiving medical care. He lauded the swift response of emergency personnel, including the Federal Fire Service, medical workers, first aiders, and members of the public, whose timely intervention helped mitigate the disaster.

While urging increased caution, training, and vigilance to prevent similar tragedies in the future, the President prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and speedy recovery for those wounded.
