Egi Youth Federation Worldwide in commeration of their 2025 Memorial and Remembrance Day has presented a Youth Icon Leadership Award to Dr. Kingsley Ogu in recognition of his dedication, commitment and exemplary impact on youth development and community advancement.

The award was presented by Comrade Ikechukwu Amirize, President of the Egi Youth Federation Worldwide, who explained that the decision followed a thorough review of nominations and assessments. He noted that Dr. Ogu’s name stood out as “truly deserving of this honour” due to his consistent contributions to youth empowerment and leadership excellence.

In his response, Dr. Ogu expressed gratitude to the Federation for the recognition and urged the youths to remain united and focused on meaningful development.

Dr. Ogu further called on the Egi youths to be intentional about fostering unity and collaboration for the collective progress of Egi land, stressing that unity is vital for the success of their administration and for achieving lasting development.

“I encourage you to partner with the government at all levels, oil companies in OML58, the Obagi Oil Field Board and other stakeholders to prioritize education, security and human capital empowerment, while giving special attention to the girl child,” he said.
