The Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED) has apologized to customers over power supply shortfalls recorded across several parts of the city on October 13 and 14, 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 15, the company attributed the disruptions to faults on its 33KV lines and cascading outages from source feeders.
Areas affected include Agip Estate, Rumuokwurushi, Eagle Island, Okporo Road, Ada George, and parts of Aba Road, among others. The shortfall lasted between 3 and 15 hours across different feeders.
PHED confirmed that all affected feeders, UST-PH, Refinery Line 1, Eagle Island and Okoh Road have since been restored and are now back in service.
The management expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and appreciated customers’ patience and understanding.
