A member of the Fubara Group, Mr. Chijioke Ihunwo, has denied reports claiming that he intends to resign from the group and align with former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, describing the publication as false and misleading.
In a public notice issued on Saturday, Ihunwo said the report, circulated by an online blog identified as Inside Port Harcourt, was “completely untrue, unfounded, and malicious.” He stated categorically that he has neither resigned nor has any intention of resigning from the Fubara Group.
“I have no discussions, plans, or arrangements whatsoever to collaborate with the individuals referenced in the report,” he said.
Ihunwo reaffirmed his loyalty and support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, noting that he remains firm in his political stance and committed to the administration’s ideals of good governance, unity, and development in Rivers State.
He further described the report as an act of irresponsible journalism aimed at misleading the public and creating unnecessary political distractions, urging members of the public to disregard the publication and rely only on information from his official and verified channels.
Ihunwo also warned those behind the report to desist from further misinformation, adding that he reserves the right to pursue all lawful remedies to protect his integrity and reputation.
