The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni chapter in their extra ordinary Enlarged meeting on Saturday 17th January, 2026 tagged \"Unity in African Democratic Congress Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni\" , welcomed members of the Obidient movement in ONELGA into their fold. A development that have position the African Democratic Congress Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Chapter as a formidable opposition that is ready to win election in the forth coming polls.

Speaking after the extra ordinary Enlarged Congress of the party in Omoku, Hon Okoro Joshua Chukwulewa the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Chairman in ONELGA appealed to political conscious individuals with integrity to see the Party in the local government area as a viable alternative platform to realize their political aspirations.

In his word he said \" ONELGA have lodge a new political strength that is willing and ready to deliver the dividend\'s of Democracy to the Onelga people\".
Expressing his opinion in the political crisis in the state and how it has retard development in the two constituencies of the local government area in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Okoro faulted the absence of representations and constituencies projects in the area, due to alignments of Hon Frankline Nwaobochi Uchenna representing constituency 1 and Hon Nkemjika Ijeoma Ezekwe representing constituency 2 with the former Governor who is bent on destroying everything good thing in the state for his insatiable crave for more power.
Registering his disappointment on the RSHA members representing the local government area, the ADC Chairman in ONELGA said \" There is nothing coming in from our Representatives, I have not seen any development, our people are not benefiting from any constituency projects, youth empowerment scheme nor scholarships because of the greed and selfishness of our Representatives who are fighting the governor\".
\" Onelga people needs leaders that are willing to make sacrifices by carry their people along, with open door policy and the leadership challenge in the local government area can only be address when the people of ONELGA comes out to resist, rebrand and reposition the local government area he added.
