President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to defeat banditry and terrorism across the country, assuring Nigerians that sustained efforts will restore peace and security.

The President gave the assurance on Monday in Yola while commissioning projects executed by the Adamawa State Government under Governor Umaru Fintiri.

Commending the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Tinubu pledged continued support for the men and women in uniform as they prosecute the fight against insurgency and criminality.

“We are grateful to our armed forces for their dedication to liberating Nigeria from banditry and insurgency. Together, we will win,” the President said. “We will continue to encourage our governors and call on citizens to give them maximum cooperation in developing their states and our nation.”

Describing himself as committed to service and sacrifice, Tinubu added, “Nigeria is ours to develop. As your leader, I assure you of my continuous service. I am a very happy man.”

The President also lauded Governor Fintiri for the developmental projects executed by the state government, describing them as impactful and people-oriented.

Tinubu praises Ribadu

Tinubu further commended the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, an indigene of Adamawa State, for his role in strengthening national security.

The President described Ribadu, a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police and former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, as courageous and committed.

“You are doing an excellent job and we are seeing the results,” Tinubu said. “With you, we will defeat bandits and terrorists. You are honest, bold, courageous and dedicated. Adamawa State is proud of you—and so am I.”

The assurances, Tinubu said, reflect his administration’s determination to work with security agencies, state governments and citizens to secure the country and accelerate development.
