President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service to fill existing vacancies.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by Eno Olotu.
Olotu disclosed that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Mrs Warren Augusta from Bayelsa State, Mrs Jones-Nebo Bella from Enugu State, Mr Aminu Yargaya from Kano State and Mr Shoretire Kamil from Ogun State.
According to the statement, the appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process designed to uphold merit, competence and professionalism within the federal civil service.
Olotu noted that the new Permanent Secretaries are expected to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to their positions, thereby strengthening public service delivery and supporting the government’s development agenda.
Reacting to the development, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, congratulated the appointees and commended the President for his commitment to transparency and merit-based appointments.
She said the decision reflects the administration’s resolve to build a competent, professional and results-driven civil service capable of effectively meeting the needs of Nigerians.
