The Governor of Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will on Wednesday swear in five commissioners-designate who were recently screened and cleared by the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Port Harcourt at 1:00 p.m., according to a special government announcement issued on Tuesday.

The commissioners-designate are Mr. Tonye Bellgam, Professor Temple Nwofor, Dr. Peters Nwagor, Mr. Lekue Kenneth, and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.

The announcement, signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dagogo S. A. Wokoma, stated that the nominees had earlier undergone screening by the state legislature before being cleared for appointment into the State Executive Council.

It further directed that the commissioners-designate, each accompanied by one guest, are expected to be seated at the venue by 12:30 p.m. ahead of the commencement of the ceremony.
