The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the timetable for its nationwide congresses as part of preparations for the party’s forthcoming National Convention scheduled for April 14, 2026.

The schedule was disclosed in a statement jointly issued on Sunday in Abuja by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo, and the National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

According to the statement, the congresses will begin with polling unit and ward congresses on April 7, followed by local government area congresses on April 9 and state congresses on April 11.

The process will culminate in the party’s National Convention slated for April 14.

The party explained that the exercise is part of its constitutional obligation to renew leadership structures across all levels of the organisation.

ADC urged members interested in contesting for vacant positions within the party to obtain and submit the necessary nomination or expression of interest forms through its official website.

“This process forms part of the party’s constitutional responsibility to renew its leadership structures across all levels of the organisation, culminating in the national convention,” the statement said.

It further stated that nomination forms and other relevant information are available on the party’s official website, www.adc.org.ng.

The party also called on members across the country to actively participate in the congresses while adhering strictly to the party’s constitution, guidelines and democratic principles.

ADC expressed confidence that the congresses and the national convention would strengthen internal democracy and further consolidate the party’s organisational structure nationwide.
