Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has dismissed six political appointees and suspended the Chairman of the State House of Assembly Service Commission as part of efforts to reposition his administration for improved performance.

The development was announced in a statement issued in Jos by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau.

According to the statement, those relieved of their appointments include the Special Adviser on Strategic Communication, Timothy Golu, as well as several liaison officers: Fom Gwottson (Jos South), Nanbol Rimvyat and Nannim Langyi (Langtang North), Paul Datugum (Qua’an Pan), and Nimchat Rims (Langtang South).

In addition, the governor approved the suspension of Johnbull Shekarau, Chairman of the House of Assembly Service Commission, over alleged conduct inconsistent with the standards expected of his office.

Jatau said the decision forms part of broader measures aimed at enhancing efficiency and ensuring effective service delivery within the state government.

He directed all affected officials to hand over government property in their possession to the appropriate authorities, while conveying the governor’s appreciation for their contributions and wishing them success in their future endeavours.
