Britain’s King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Wednesday formally received President Bola Tinubu at Datchet Road in Windsor, marking the start of the Nigerian leader’s two-day state visit to the United Kingdom.
Tinubu was accorded a ceremonial welcome by the British monarch and his consort ahead of a carriage procession to Windsor Castle, underscoring the significance of the visit.
The reception forms part of a series of high-level engagements scheduled during the historic trip, which is the first state visit by a Nigerian leader to the UK in nearly four decades.
The event drew considerable attention, with dignitaries and onlookers gathered to witness the symbolic display of diplomatic ties between both nations.
