The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission has announced plans to arraign former Nasir El-Rufa’i in both the Federal and State High Courts in Kaduna over alleged corruption and related offences.
According to a statement signed by John Okor Odey, Head of Media and Public Communications at ICPC, the Federal High Court case, filed under suit number FHC/KD/73/2026, will see El-Rufa’i and one Joel Adoga face charges ranging from conversion and possession of public property to money laundering. The arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday, 24th March 2026.
In a separate matter, the ICPC has filed another case in the Kaduna State High Court, number KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, against El-Rufa’i and Amadu Sule (LEDA). Charges in this case include abuse of office, fraud, and intent to commit fraud to secure undue advantage, among others.
Both cases were officially filed by the ICPC on 18th March 2026. The exact date for El-Rufa’i’s arraignment in the State High Court will be announced later by the court.
The ICPC confirmed that El-Rufa’i has been duly served with court papers and reiterated its commitment to due process and adherence to the rule of law at all times.
