Abonnema Chiefs Console Opobo Monarch-Elect Over King’s Demise

A delegation of traditional rulers from Abonnema, led by Dumo Lulu-Briggs, has paid a condolence visit to the Amanyanabo-elect of Opobo Kingdom, Prince Charles D. Jaja, following the passing of the late monarch, Dandeson Douglas Jaja.

The visit, which took place in Opobo, brought together members of the Abonnema Council of Chiefs, who expressed deep sympathy with the royal family and people of the kingdom over the loss of their revered ruler.

Speaking during the visit, the delegation conveyed heartfelt condolences and reaffirmed their solidarity with the people of Opobo during the mourning period. They also offered prayers for strength, unity, and guidance as the kingdom prepares for a transition in its traditional leadership.

The chiefs described the late monarch as a respected figure whose legacy would endure in the history and cultural heritage of the kingdom.

Responding on behalf of the kingdom, Prince Charles D. Jaja expressed appreciation for the visit, noting that it reflects the enduring cultural bonds and brotherhood between Opobo and Abonnema communities.
